Ravaged Memory is an essay on Haiti looking at two phenomena which have contributed both to the founding and the destruction of the country: exile and deforestation. Echoing Haiti’s social and political history and the causes of deforestation, the tale of this exploration will lead us to Haitians from the country and from the diaspora, while accompanying the work of a foundation dedicated to reforestation, and by plunging into the universe of two artists settled in Belgium and Canada.
